Dr. Blanco recently traveled to Madison, Wisconsin ( home of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry) to serve as an examiner in the Accreditation process. Reaching Accredited status involves passing a rigorous examination that demonstrates enhanced skills in cosmetic dentistry.
The examination process consists of a written, clinical and oral section. The clinical cases are carefully reviewed by examiners who use over 80 criteria to judge the level of proficiency in cosmetic dentistry. Examiners work two long days reviewing clinical cases submitted by the dentist candidates.
Dr. Blanco received his Accreditation in 2007 and was asked to serve as an examiner shortly after.
